The restaurant La Biblioteca de Tequila /The Tequila Library) was officially inaugurated by the international and renowned chef Richard Sandoval. The new restaurant of Breathless Cabo San Lucas, located inside the hotel in the area of the Marina.

Richard Sandoval is known as the "father of modern Mexican cuisine" in the gastronomic world. The library is the second restaurant opening in Cabo San Lucas, adding to Toro, located in Punta Ballena, in the Los Cabos Corridor and since its opening has been reference of the culinary excellence. For the ribbon cutting, was accompanied by Mexican chef: René Malacara, Breathless General Manager, Mauricio Martínez, area manager for AM Resorts and Fabián Martínez, General Manager of the restaurant.

The restaurant has one of the largest collections of tequilas, mezcals and spirits of agave, with over 150 to choose from.  The concept is reinforced with decoration,  For the menu, Richard Sandoval returned to their culinary roots, to present to the world the authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine, traditional dishes with which he grew up.

The library of Tequila Cape is the third restaurant of its kind, after being a success in New York and Colorado. It is also as culinary center number 41 of the Group Richard Sandoval Restaurants, whose different concepts are found in cities such as California, Nevada, Colorado, Florida, Washington and New York, in the United States, as well as Hong Kong, Tokyo, Qatar, Dubai, Serbia, Mexico, to name a few.

The cuisine of Sandoval has been born different techniques and concepts such as the "modern Mexican", "Latino-asiático" and the "Pan-American". This diversity made him creditor recently as one of the "25 best companies multiconcept". In Mexico are: Bay, Punta Mita; Breezes, the lagoon and the port in Riviera Maya; and bull and Tequila library, in Cabo San Lucas.

For the first time as Chefs for Los Cabos, and after organizing the four previous editions, 18 of Los Cabos top chefs, as well as the Rotarians of Cabo San Lucas joined up again to offer a splendid festival of flavors in Order to raise charitable funds.

Edgar Roman, one of the founding organizers shares with us a bit about this special occasion.

This time it was for Children of the Sierra, AC who will receive in donation 100% of the proceeds.

Insert: Patricia Riva Palacio, Director Niños de la Sierra, A.C "This event is intended to support children here in Cabo San Lucas, living in vulnerable communities in Cabo San Lucas like Vista Azul and Las Torres communities, the goal Is to give them a daily meal as well as working with them in different workshops, support the creation of home gardens... the dining room is going to be held together by Godparents, each person can choose a child or those who they wish for 700 pesos a month..."

The stage was set facing the sea on Medano beach at Cachet Beach restaurant.

More than 250 guests enjoyed an extraordinary variety of dishes: rich salads, extraordinary fish and seafood’s, red meats, Mexican delicacies such as Barbecue Tacos, jerky like Cecina, Peppers stuffed with fish and sea food, enormous Chocolata clams, and other wonders prepared by the  finest  talents  this fraternity of Los Cabos Chefs has to offer.

Not to be missed were the excellent Mexican wines from the Guadalupe Valley and from Parras, Coahuila as well as other outstanding international wines and special crafted beer were also served.

The chefs themselves cooked, served and shared with all those in attendance helping to create a friendly family atmosphere for gathering.

During the same event, an endowment for nearly $ 160,000 pesos was presented and will be used to run a dining room facility for disadvantaged children in areas adjacent to the Los Cabos airport.

Chef Volker Romeike: I´m very proud to be hosting an great event, get together all my associates and we can work for a noble cause “Children’s Foundation”, this year we participated 18 chefs and the another innovation is that we were 2 teams, we’ve got together 2 chefs to create a saucer.

Chef Edgar Román: Very well, very happy, was very successful, the tickets were sold out the first day that went on sale, we hope that the next year we can grow the event, we are very happy, all the Chefs are very happy, everyone liked the food, there is no one best thing and more pleasant to be able to help,doing what we love to cook.

Felipe Fernández, President of Los Cabos Children Foundation: We have 12, 13 years working for children, honored in this event which we have considered and support us, we bring cardiac operations, children in Oncology, children that we give them support in basic medical services, is an important number and we want continue to grow.

Héctor Zúñiga, Baja Wine Cabo: 

It is a success, is a great event and thank you to all assistants we have a good amount to donate, and like always supporting the effort of the “Chef al rescate”, that implies a very important support for “Los Cabos Children’s Foundation”.

With the participation of more than 80 food stands from the best restaurants, bars and most prestigious wine brands in Los Cabos took place the 11th annual gastronomic festival Sabor a Cabo.

The Sculpture Garden at Puerto Los Cabos was the site of this great event that had as its main course the presentation ofMusical head liners Maná, who for the first time appeared in this tourist destination to offer their last concert of 20 16.

Maná give up one hundred percent to the audience framed by a spectacular stage that implied a production that surpassed 5 million pesos.

People danced and enjoyed the concert that, undoubtedly and until now, is considered as the most memorable that has been presented in Los Cabos in the middle of an extraordinary atmosphere of friends sharing great and unforgettable joy.

Present was the governor Carlos Mendoza Davis and Los Cabos mayor Arturo de la Rosa.

The beneficiaries were the Los Cabos Children Foundation and as in previous years, the firefighters of Los Cabos who received two new fire trucks. 

The Los Cabos Tourism Trust fund, the state and municipal government as well as Group Questro were the main sponsors in addition to all those who attended and participating restaurants, bars, wine houses, tequilas, mezcaleras, national and international companies from the great industry of gastronomy.
