THE BEAUTY OF NATURE

The documentary film “Out of the Blue” was recorded using virtual reali ty technology and debuted at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival
The documentary “Out of the Blue” de- buted this year at the world-renowned independent film festival, Sundance, on January 22nd. Through the film, film- maker Sophie Ansel displays the beauty and rich marine life that protects the Cabo Pulmo National Park, one of the treasures of Baja California Sur declared a Natural World Heritage by UNESCO, through the use of virtual reality.

Southwest launches new flights from Los Cabos to Oakland and San Diego
On February 12th, Southwest Airlines launched flights from Oakland, Califor- nia to Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos, Mexico, making them the first in- ternational airline flights from the San Francisco Bay Area. The airline offers daily service to the two most popular destinations in the Mexican Riviera. In addition, Southwest Airlines announced that starting April 25th, it will include a new direct route from San Diego, Cali- fornia to San Jose del Cabo / Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Along with the new flights, the airline has in- ternational nonstop flights to Mexico, from notable cities including Houston- San Jose del Cabo, Los Angeles-San Jose del Cabo, Los Angeles-Puerto Val- larta, Los Angeles-Cancun, Oakland-San Jose, Oakland-Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta-Denver and Miami-Merida.

CHEESE AND WINE FESTIVAL, MARCH 25TH
The 5th Annual Cheese and Wine Festival will be held at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort on March 25th. Attendees will have the chance to taste the most exquisite wines and cheeses
that the industry can provide. Part of the proceeds from the Festival will be donated to the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports underprivileged children in pediatric oncolo- gy, cardiology and intensive care programs.

The 14th Annual Todos Santos Film Festival will take place from March 1-5 at the iconic Hotel California in the magical town of Todos Santos. The Mexican film “The Room” will inaugurate the 14th edition of the festival starting on March 2nd.
