Los Cabos is declared the winner of the Excellence Award as a Destination 2020

The Los Cabos tourism trust was awarded in the category Excellence as a destination, in the 5th. Heel awards ceremony, The Meetin Proffesionals International chapter Mexico, where he stood out for his great work in collaborative work with the meetings industry, which recognizes national destinations and other organizations such as OCV’s, for having demonstrated their excellence in development, implementation and training, thus creating excellence in the meetings industry, providing the best practices in service, marketing, sales, promotion and brand positioning.
The nominees were Ah Chihuahua !, OCV León, Dazzling Zacatecas, Yucatán and Los Cabos.

The meetings industry provides many sources of employment and a business projection that the destination needs, is 6.8% of the Gross Domestic Product depends on the Meetings Industry, 20% of the room nights annually are directly related to the Meetings Industry, So, the recognition is to all the work that has been done in the value chain, to the public and private work with the authorities, the associations, the different providers of tourist services, and we are sure that this will allow to show the reflection of the work so hard that it has continued to be done and that this will allow destiny to gradually recover by 2021.
We have to continue working very hard to reactivate the industry, to apply the protocols in an unrestricted manner, which is what has allowed events to take place in the destination, and to continue supporting and being the best tourist destination in Mexico
Los Cabos has hosted 2 major hybrid events in the meeting industry, including PCMA and also the winner of the World Meeting Forum for excellence in the market.
The World Meeting Forum was recognized as the best event of the year, of the Meetings Industry, which was also held here in Los Cabos, so it is a double merit to have been recognized as a destination and also as the most important event that was carried out in the year
