The laboratory analyzes that were carried out on seawater samples taken in the last two weeks by personnel from the State Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COEPRIS), corroborate that the beaches of Baja California Sur are in optimal conditions for recreational use.

The samplings carried out in the framework of the Clean Beaches Program in 37 coastal areas of Los Cabos, La Paz, Loreto and ComondĂș, where there is a high influx of bathers, reveal that their sanitary circumstances are of excellence, since they are well below the limits established by international standards.

While the World Health Organization establishes that a beach is not for recreational use when it has more than 200 units of enterococci per hundred milliliters (NPM/100ml), the average of the samples taken in the entity prior to the spring vacation period is 11 units on that scale of measurement.
