The Los Cabos International Film Festival concluded with a message filled with reflection, gratitude, and hope for the film community. Before the evening’s musical finale, words were shared that underscored cinema not only as a ritual, but also as a space for encounter, family, and creative resistance.

During the pre-closing message, it was highlighted how, throughout the festival, diverse and powerful stories were heard: from filmmakers who managed to make their first film, to the unexpected journeys of people who worked in various professions before finding a form of expression in cinema. These testimonies reinforced the idea that filmmaking requires courage, strength, and the will to tell stories that represent the most intimate aspects of those who create them, even those that are sometimes difficult to say aloud.

It was emphasized that, despite the current difficulties in finding exhibition spaces and the challenges facing the industry, the film community continues to grow and resist. The message was clear: keep creating, keep expanding spaces, and allow stories to continue resonating on every possible screen.

To formally close the festival, Paola Decentis, General Director of the Los Cabos Film Festival, took the floor. She thanked the audience for attending the final night of the event and celebrated the four-day journey. Decentis expressed her gratitude to those who entrusted her with leading a project she described as both cherished and essential for the industry, as well as to the organizing team, collaborators, partners, and sponsors who made this edition possible.

The General Director acknowledged the collective effort behind the production and affirmed that directing this edition was an unforgettable experience, hoping that the festival will remain in the hearts of all who experienced it. With a final message of continuity and commitment, she concluded another edition of the Los Cabos International Film Festival, reaffirming its relevance as a meeting point for cinema and its stories.
