Abril Urueta Promotes Northern Los Cabos at FITUR Madrid with Regional Crafts

At the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Abril Urueta, Director General of Economic Development for Los Cabos, highlighted the importance of promoting not only the well-known tourist areas of San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, but also the northern region, including Miraflores, La Riviera, and Santiago.
Urueta emphasized that this area is home to numerous producers of regional products, which were showcased through handcrafted souvenirs brought to the event. “We brought hand-painted bookmarks with representative figures such as masks, whales, and the San José Mission, as well as crocheted keychains with endemic plants woven by artisans from our origins programs,” she explained. These gifts, nearly a thousand on the first day, sold out “like hotcakes,” according to the official, who generated great interest among visitors by sharing the unique experience of Los Cabos, especially its “forgotten wonders” in the northern region. The promotion is part of a comprehensive strategy that combines tourism, represented by Ana Gabriela Navarro, with economic development.
“It was a complete success; everyone is very happy,” Urueta concluded regarding Los Cabos’ participation in FITUR.
