At IBTM Americas, the FITURCA team presented the comprehensive tourism offering and specialized infrastructure that position Los Cabos as a destination for international congresses, conventions, and incentive travel. Their participation was aimed at generating business opportunities focused on attracting high-impact events, in line with the destination’s strategy to boost the MICE segment and attract large events.

“Our participation in IBTM Americas 2025 strengthens Los Cabos’ position as a leading destination in the Meetings Industry. With the support of our partners, we showcased the variety of experiences, services, and capabilities that make Los Cabos a preferred choice for international events. We will continue working on air connectivity and promoting the experience offering to further consolidate the destination globally,” said Rodrigo Esponda, General Manager of FITURCA.

The meetings industry in Baja California Sur generates a significant economic impact, with more than 13,000 related jobs, of which nearly 7,400 are direct, and contributes approximately $38 million in employment income. The sector represents an economic output of $530 million, equivalent to approximately 4.6% of the state’s GDP.

Los Cabos boasts infrastructure that includes more than 20,000 rooms and modern event spaces. It also offers a combination of services that includes luxury options, exclusive experiences such as whale watching and desert adventures, as well as a focus on sustainability, wellness, and social responsibility—factors that influence event planners’ decisions.
