350 attendees from 92 companies will participate, holding more than 1,600 scheduled business meetings to strengthen alliances and generate new business opportunities in the destination.

From November 16 to 18, the 19th edition of the VIP Summit will take place, solidifying its position as the leading business forum for the tourism industry in Los Cabos. Each year, this exclusive event brings together buyers, strategic partners, suppliers, and media, creating a key space for collaboration, exchange, and the generation of business opportunities.

This year, 92 companies from 20 countries will participate: Mexico, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Uruguay. Approximately 350 attendees are expected, who will hold more than 1,600 business meetings during the event.

“Promoting connections between businesses and consolidating Los Cabos as a strategic hub for global tourism has been the main objective of the VIP Summit since its inception. This allows us to open new opportunities for all sectors linked to the development and investment of the destination,” stated Rodrigo Esponda, General Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust.

“This year we have achieved a record participation of representatives from multiple countries, increasing the number of represented markets by 30% compared to the previous edition. This growth reflects the increasing diversification and strength of tourism promotion in Los Cabos, solidifying the destination as a competitive and attractive player on the international stage,” added Rodrigo Esponda.

During the opening program, Mauro Arredondo, General Manager of Copa Airlines Mexico, participated in the panel “Beyond Borders: How to Build the Future of Tourism Through Strategic Alliances,” highlighting the importance of establishing international collaborations in tourism.

Regarding the new route between Panama and Los Cabos, which will begin operations on December 4, 2025, Arredondo emphasized: “This flight represents a direct bridge that facilitates access from Central America, boosting tourism and strengthening trade relations between both regions.” This route, the first to directly connect Los Cabos with Latin America, is projected to attract more than 25,000 tourists annually from Central and South America.

For the first time, the VIP Summit featured a panel of journalists specializing in tourism, who addressed the “Evolution in Tourism Promotion.” Participants included Alejandro de la Rosa, Carlos Velázquez, Edgar Morales, José Antonio López Sosa, Julio Reyna, and Miriam Paredes.

During the discussion, the journalists agreed that incorporating storytelling techniques into tourism promotion is fundamental, focusing not only on what should be seen, but also on what should be felt, and placing the visitor at the heart of the story.

Nearly Two Decades of the VIP Summit

The VIP Summit has established itself as a key platform for facilitating connections among participants and fostering business opportunities. This event has been fundamental in positioning Los Cabos as a national and international destination, bringing together relevant market players seeking to drive the growth and diversification of tourism in the region.

A clear example of the agreements reached during the VIP Summit is the alliance with All Tours, one of Germany’s leading tour operators. During the 2024 edition of this event, the company confirmed its commitment and support for promoting and selling the destination in its market, motivated by the knowledge gained about the wide range of tourism offerings in Los Cabos and Baja California Sur.

Similarly, SIC Colombia has participated in the last three editions of the VIP Summit, successfully developing an incentive program that strengthens the commercial connection between the region and this important Latin American market.

These collaborations reflect the real and tangible impact of the event on generating business that benefits the destination’s tourism development.
