Sandra Félix Promotes Emerging Destinations in Baja California Sur at FITUR Madrid

Sandra Félix, director of the La Paz Tourism Trust, participated in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) to promote destinations in northern Baja California Sur, such as Loreto and Comondú, which still require greater promotion compared to other established sites.
Félix highlighted meetings with Spanish and Italian travel agencies interested in tours of Mexico. One of the most requested is the “Sea of Cortez Circuit,” which connects Copper Canyon via the Chepe train from Chihuahua, a ferry crossing in Sinaloa, and coastal excursions, with an approximate duration of 12 days. Another favorite among the Spanish market is the road trip between San Diego and Los Cabos, which includes visits to missions and cave paintings.
Italy is showing particular interest in Loreto for its sport fishing, diving at more than 150 sites, hiking in the Sierra de la Giganta, and missions such as San Javier and Loreto. In addition, Félix presented a newly released guide from the trust, the result of a tour of the peninsula that compiles content about San Juanico and other key locations.
“We are promoting what the Spanish market loves most: road trips and missions,” Félix emphasized during the fair.
