Los Cabos, a Tourist Destination with Unlimited Economic Potential, Says Neto Coppel at FITUR 46

At the 46th International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain, renowned Los Cabos businessman Neto Coppel highlighted the enormous economic potential of the Baja California Sur destination, describing it as the one that attracts the most wealth worldwide.
During an interview, Coppel emphasized that Los Cabos is home to some of the largest hotel brands, which translates into average daily rates of $500 USD, among the highest in the market. “Los Cabos is a place of extraordinary beauty, completely safe and peaceful, and the people are very friendly,” he stated.
The businessman emphasized the importance of the North American market, the primary market for the destination, and noted that markets in Europe and Japan are already being explored. One indicator of the wealth it attracts is the large number of private planes at the local airport.
Coppel also addressed the challenges of growth, calling for collaboration between businesses and government to work on infrastructure, water, and, crucially, electricity. “The only thing we need is electricity. We urgently need it, please, government, help us establish power plants,” he pleaded.
Despite the infrastructure challenges, Coppel expressed optimism about the future, asserting that the growth of Los Cabos is “unbeatable” and “limitless,” with an expansion vision that spans from Cabo del Este to Todos Santos, always under a framework of order and conservation. The primary objective is to ensure the arrival of tourists to generate economic benefits and employment.
