Los Cabos to Host Motivation Luxury Summit 2026 to Strengthen Luxury Incentive Tourism
During a press conference, Paulina Aguilar, Director of Promotion for the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA), emphasized that hosting the summit is part of a strategy to diversify international markets and solidify the destination’s position as a leader in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) segment.
The CEO of FIEXPO Exhibitions Group, Vivian Nardone, explained that the Motivation Luxury Summit is a boutique event focused exclusively on incentive and luxury tourism, prioritizing quality over quantity of participants.
“We don’t mind if it’s a massive event; on the contrary, it’s a curated, exclusive event, with only 50 highly qualified international buyers and 50 suppliers participating,” she noted.
During the four-day event, approximately 1,250 pre-scheduled business meetings will take place, in addition to networking activities, destination experiences, and an academic program supported by SITE Global, the leading international association for the incentive travel industry.
Nardone explained that the selection of international buyers is one of the event’s distinguishing features, as only companies with proven experience in organizing incentive programs and with real potential to generate business in Latin America participate. The executive highlighted that the selection of Los Cabos as the venue is a result of the collaborative work carried out with FITURCA to strengthen the destination’s promotion, especially after the launch of the direct flight between Panama and Los Cabos operated by Copa Airlines, a connection that facilitates the arrival of buyers from South America.
“Los Cabos has everything it takes to host this event. Connectivity is one of the most important factors for the incentive travel industry, and today the destination has a great opportunity to attract new Latin American markets,” she stated.
In addition to business meetings, attendees will tour various tourist attractions and iconic locations in the destination, with the aim of experiencing firsthand the hotel, culinary, and experiential offerings that distinguish Los Cabos as one of Mexico’s leading luxury destinations.
For her part, Paulina Aguilar emphasized that the meetings industry represents a strategic segment for the state’s economy, contributing approximately 4.6 percent of Baja California Sur’s Gross Domestic Product and generating an economic impact exceeding $260 million. Therefore, hosting international events strengthens the destination’s competitiveness.
The main venue will be Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos, a hotel that recently completed its transition to an all-inclusive model, a condition that, according to its management, will allow it to offer a comprehensive experience to participants.
The organizers agreed that the Motivation Luxury Summit will not only yield immediate economic benefits but will also serve as an international promotional platform for buyers, event organizers, and industry leaders to learn about Los Cabos’ capabilities as a host for incentive travel and high-level meetings.
