Sea, tennis, and an iconic landscape. These are the only three ingredients needed to kick off the tenth anniversary of the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel OPPO in legendary fashion. The tournament takes place from July 27 to August 1, 2026.

Mextenis knew it would be difficult to top a setting like the arch, a landmark of the destination in Baja California Sur, and for that reason, it was the ideal backdrop to kick off a legendary week in the tournament’s history. Ten years have passed since tennis arrived in Los Cabos, boosting the sport and the country’s sports entertainment offerings.
Geoffrey Fernández, the tournament director, also played a mini-match against the professionals and, laughing at the end, declared, “I beat both of them; they gave me a fight.” Next up was actor Juan Pablo Medina, who also impressed against the best in the world.
