Secretary of Tourism and U.S. ambassador strengthen relationship for economic recovery

The Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES), Luis Humberto Araiza López, representing the Governor, Carlos Mendoza Davis, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of this country in Mexico, Christopher Landou and the Consul General of the United States in Tijuana, Sue Saarnio.

This meeting was held at the Los Cabos Tourist Service Center (CATTAC), where the presidents of the Hotel Association and CANIRAC in that municipality, Mauricio Salicrup and Gianmarco Vela, respectively, as well as the director of the Trust, also participated. Tourism Promotion Department (FITURCA), Rodrigo Esponda.

Araiza López highlighted the commitment of tourism entrepreneurs in health strategies such as the certification of the “Clean Point” program that SETUES promotes together with the federal SECTUR, obtaining the “Safes Travels” seal of quality granted by the World Travel and Tourism Council , as well as the application of PCR tests in coordination with the state Ministry of Health, to detect positive cases, thereby cutting the chain of infections.

He also mentioned that the International Airports of Los Cabos and La Paz were accredited in the “Accreditation of Sanitary Measures for Airports” program, operated by the International Airports Council.
