"Tourism is one of the most important industries in our country and the main economic engine of our State, so it is essential that its reactivation after the pandemic occurs in an orderly and responsible manner," said the Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES) Luis Humberto Araiza López.

The aforementioned, after participating in the virtual press conference headed by the head of the federal branch, Miguel Torruco Marqués, where the new model of the Punto Limpio V2020 quality seal was announced, the only badge that has the endorsement of the authorities both health and labor in Mexico.

The official commented that said seal was reinforced and adequate to face the challenges posed by destinations, derived from the Health emergency, highlighting that its objective is to promote the incorporation of good hygiene practices in management models of MSMEs tourism, in order to protect the health of visitors and workers.

In this sense, Araiza López highlighted that currently in BCS about 400 companies are in the process of certification, and more than 200 more will be added soon, while acknowledging the commitment of businessmen and service providers to hygiene and safety in the tourism sector. .

“Without a doubt, Punto Limpio comes to give added value and is a differentiator for tourist destinations such as Baja California Sur, where we seek to generate certainty, certainty and trust to those who visit us; and of course to the citizens themselves ”, finished Luis Araiza.
