The government of Baja California Sur will support the 2022 edition of the Los Cabos Tennis Open

Governor Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío met with organizers of the Los Cabos Tennis Open, led by director José Antonio Fernández. This tournament in 5 years has managed to position itself as one of the most important in the country and has projected this destination nationally and internationally, in addition to generating an important economic spill.

During the meeting held at the Government Palace, the South Californian president expressed his interest in supporting the 2022 edition of this sporting event attended by national and international tennis players.

The Los Cabos Tennis Open (ATC), ATP 250 category, translates into a local economic spill, as local suppliers and equipment and supplies for the logistics required by the event are hired.

It is worth mentioning that this tournament was held this year, in the month of July, although without the presence of fans, because the pandemic situation that existed at that time did not allow it.

In 2019, the last time the ATC was held, more than 20,000 fans were present and mobilized industries such as hotels and gastronomy. That figure represented a 6% growth over viewers in 2018.
