Mifel Tennis Open breaks attendance record: Geoffrey Fernández

Geoffrey Fernandez

With great surprises, the sixth edition of the Mifel Tennis Open in Los Cabos ended with a new attendance record that exceeded 25 thousand attendees.

Geoffrey Fernández, director of the ATP 250 in Los Cabos, said that “The great news is that as of Thursday we had already exceeded the 2019 attendance, which was 22,300 people and that is a very good thing because we are talking about exceeding 25,000. people".

At the same time, Fernández thanked the media that were present for the coverage of events such as Kids Day and Family Day, events carried out with social responsibility with the support of the Mexican golfer Lorena Ochoa and the Becar Foundation.

It should be noted that the new tennis venue, the Cabo Sports Complex, managed to open its doors to the public, so the organizers were happy to have opened it, receiving positive comments.

“Without a doubt, it is the best tournament in the history of this great young event,” said Fernández, who in the sports part highlighted that the top four seeds qualified for the semifinals and that the number 1 in the world, Daniil Medvedev and the defending champion , the British Cameron Norrie will play the final.

He reminded that if he wins the first one he will close the year as number 1 and whether Norrie wins or loses on Monday he will appear in the Top-10 of the ATP.
