Having as a framework the emblematic arch of Cabo San Lucas, after hearing the starting gun, the boats began the first day of fishing, looking for the species that will position them in the first places; similarly, the start took place in the community of La Playa in San José del Cabo, as reported by Enrique Fernández del Castillo, president of the Foundation for Picudo Fish: “it is the only tournament that has a double start, one in San José del Cabo and a Cabo San Lucas, it will be three days, the weigh-in will close at 4:30 in the afternoon; On this occasion, we had the participation of 54 boats with a total of 300 people on board,” he highlighted.

During the event, Carlos Castro Ceseña, representative of the state governor, the technical director of the Fund for the Protection of Marine Resources of Baja California Sur, Martín Inzunza Tamayo and Enrique Fernández del Castillo, president of the Foundation for Billfish, as well as as public servants and guests.
