BCS Promotes Gray Whale and Whale Shark Watching in Mexico City

Within the framework of the participation of Baja California Sur in Punto México that takes place in the capital of the country, the State Government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Economy (SETUE), carried out the Seminar "The Gray Whale and the Whale Shark”, aimed at members of the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies (AMAV), informed Juan Carlos Cañedo Preciado, director of Training and Tourism Culture of said agency.

He stressed that the objective is to be able to promote these tourist products at the national level to encourage this experience of the nature tourism segment that is unique in the entity and that are carried out in adherence to the care and conservation protocols issued by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT).

Cañedo Preciado emphasized that BCS has different sighting places for gray whales, from Laguna Ojo de Liebre, in Mulegé, to Puerto Chale, in La Paz, which offers a range of possibilities for national tourism that visits us both from north by road, as well as for those who arrive through Los Cabos or the state capital.

It should be noted that during the month of December the natural beauties, culture and gastronomy of Baja California Sur will be on display at Punto México; a space located on the ground floor of the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, in Masaryk and Hegel, Bosque de Chapultepec neighborhood, from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 p.m.
