BCS participates in the first national meeting of ASETUR

The Government of the State of Baja California Sur, participated in the first meeting of 2023, of the head of the federal Ministry of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués with the members of the Association of Secretaries of Tourism of Mexico (ASETUR), chaired by Juan Enrique Suárez of the Real Tostado of the state of Nayarit, reported the Secretary of Tourism and Economy, Maribel Collins, in her capacity as Treasurer of said Association.

 

In this sense, she highlighted that a joint agenda was agreed upon at the meeting to promote tourism in the country's entities, with the aim that the benefits of the industry bring more economic and social development.

 

"The first meeting of the year was held between the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico, Miguel Torruco, and those of us who make up ASETUR, where joint strategies were agreed to strengthen the tourism sector with an inclusive approach and, above all, that goes in harmony with the environment," he said.

 

Maribel Collins added that the state administration headed by Governor Víctor Castro Cosío implements public policies that contribute to the promotion of rural communities, with new tourist products and the positioning of local merchandise.

 

Finally, she highlighted that one of the main objectives of ASETUR for this 2023 is to promote the professionalization of tourism service providers, as a tool for the modernization and repositioning of tourism in Mexico.
