Víctor Castro participates in the II Regional Meeting of Governors on Tourism of the Mar de Cortés Alliance

When participating in the II Regional Meeting of Governors on Tourism, where the agreement for the Sea of Cortez Alliance was signed, the South Californian president, Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío, agreed with his counterparts on the importance of strengthening ties and establishing agreements to carry out actions that promote tourism and with it, the well-being of families in the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Nayarit, Sinaloa and Sonora.

During the signing of the agreement of said Alliance, in the city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, in which the Secretaries of the Interior, Adán Augusto López Hernández, and of Federal Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, were present, the State Executive specified that it is a strategy to strengthen the links between the entities through policies and actions between the three orders of government and to increase the attraction of visitors and investments.

For his part, the head of the SECTUR in the country said that "the agreement that concerns us today, seeks to determine the bases of coordination between the Ministry of Tourism and the state governments, with the purpose of promoting, developing and detonating the tourist activity in this macro region under the principles of sustainability, competitiveness and inclusion”.

This meeting was attended by the host governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, from Nayarit, Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, and from Sonora, Alfonso Durazo Montaño, states that make up the Mar de Cortés region.
