For the sixth time this year, Viva Aerobus, together with the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA), announced the opening of a new route in Baja California Sur, the non-stop service Los Cabos - Torreón, the which will start operations on July 3 with two flights a week.

“Viva Aerobus has become an important ally in encouraging the arrival of national and international visitors to the destination, either to take a break and disconnect from day to day or to live outgoing adventures between the sea, desert and mountains. We are convinced that the opening of these new routes will further strengthen and promote competitiveness, accessibility, economic development and tourism in Los Cabos, so we will continue working together to expand connectivity options in the destination," said Rodrigo Esponda, director of FITURCA.

Just a few weeks ago, Viva announced its new Los Cabos – Ciudad Juárez route and, a couple of months ago, the airline reported on its new services from Los Cabos to Querétaro, Toluca and Cancún; as well as flights from La Paz to Mazatlán. Several of these routes, to date, are only operated directly by Viva, that is, without stops; such is the case of flights to Ciudad Juárez and Torreón; thus creating unique and necessary air bridges that connect the state with strategic enclaves to boost tourism.

“At Viva Aerobus we have decided to give a solid boost to the air connectivity of Baja California Sur, convinced of its great tourist and commercial potential. For this reason, in this 2023, we have grown significantly in Los Cabos and La Paz, adding six new routes between both destinations,” said Walfred Castro, Communications Director of Viva Aerobus. "Very soon we will be operating more than 680 flights a month in the state, making more than 1.7 million seats available to passengers a year so they can travel in the youngest fleet in Mexico and at low prices," he added.

As a result of this sustained commitment, Viva already has a total of 14 routes in Baja California Sur. From La Paz it offers services to Culiacán, Guadalajara and Mazatlán; and from Los Cabos to Cancun, Mexico City (AICM), Ciudad Juárez, Culiacán, Querétaro, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Monterrey, Tijuana, Toluca and Torreón.
