The 8th Sales and Marketing Forum of ASUDESTICO was successfully concluded

With the presentation of several and diverse specialist exhibitors, the Eighth Sales and Marketing Forum organized by the Sudcalifornian Association of Timeshare Developers (ASUDESTICO) concluded.

 

Held at the Vista Encantada Resort in the tourist corridor and attended by more than 450 executives of this important industry in Los Cabos, this Forum took place on October 11 with the participation of experts in these two fundamental areas that are the engine of this industry.

 

Javier Olivares, Executive President of ASUDESTICO: "We made this one more specialized for timeshare people Marketing and sales..., We started with Rodrigo Esponda, managing how to be a good ambassador, since we have contacts with foreigners, both timeshare promoters and vendors..., so that people had and can speak well of the destination and be an ambassador with tourists...,  Image is very important. The verb, the presence, what is body language, movement, how to dress, how to speak, modulation of the voice..., how to get in front of the tourist is very important..., we have the panel where there are sales people and marketing people..., we have people from everything, new people, people with a lot of experience and obviously part of the work of how to approach millennials,  which is a different type of market, it's not the same as baby boomers..., however, we're trying to standardize criteria for all of them."

 

The event was attended by Rodrigo Esponda, Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA) with the theme of "How to be an ambassador of the destination"; Álvaro Gordoa, Rector of the College of Public Image, also participated in his presentation on "The Selling Image!"; Miguel Osuna, Director of Corporate Marketing Communication, UVC, and his lecture "The Value Proposition in the MKT of the Timeshare and Vacation Ownership Industry"; Likewise, a panel moderated by Eric White, President of Legacy Sales Unlimited, was held, with the participation of: Betty Sahagun, Corporate Director of Sales Training at Grupo Solmar; Sofia Legaspi, General Manager of In-House Marketing, Corazon Cabo; Roberto Manzano, Director of Sales Hacienda Encantada, Gonzálo Bernal, Vice Partner of Ares Development Group; Sean Freeman, Director of Timeshare Sales at Corazon Cabo, and; Gabriel Oropeza Director of MKT of Grupo Solmar

 

Eric White, President of Legacy Sales Unlimited: "My job is to guide it, direct the questions, summarize it, deliver it to the audience. What we typically find in these forums is younger people interested in getting into the industry or people with salaried jobs in these hotels who are looking to transition into the industry..., and my message is, you know, if you have that in you, if you're that kind of courage and artist, it's better than ever. Cabo is the shining example of the best that this industry has to offer..., in the United States you can't compare..., look at how much Los Cabos has to offer now with the expansion to the East Cape, the expansion to Todos Santos in the surrounding areas, it's a paradise and it's being built responsibly...,  Very, very proud of my industry, the hospitality industry in general, and the people of Los Cabos..., and I think this is a wonderful example of how the community works together to give back to society at large."

 

Finally, the event closed this 2023 edition with Shari Levitin, Founder of Levitin Group and her presentation "How to rehumanize the sales process"

 

Shari Levitin, Founder of Levitin Group: (Translation) "... we have to really reconnect with another human being, to ask questions that get to the heart of why someone would buy the emotion..., It's really about going back to that human-to-human interaction, being transparent and telling the truth..., really what we have to do is build a connection, tell them the negative of the product so that they believe the positive...,  What marketers should do is be students of life and be curious. And the more you know about life and different aspects of life, the more different types of people you'll be able to connect with."

 

At the end of each presentation, the organizers handle an award to each of the participants of the Forum.
