Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, April 15, 2026. As part of its strategy to diversify international markets, the Los Cabos Tourism Trust is participating in the 2026 edition of WTM Latin America, taking place from April 14 to 16 in São Paulo, Brazil, one of the most important tourism events in the region.

The Brazilian market continues to consolidate itself as a strategic opportunity for the destination. Copa Airlines’ route, with three weekly flights from Panama, is positioned as a key enabler to facilitate access to the destination. This connection takes on even greater significance considering that Copa Airlines operates direct flights from eight Brazilian cities to Panama, expanding Los Cabos’ reach in this market. The expectation is that, thanks to this connectivity and the ongoing promotional efforts, the number of Brazilian visitors will multiply in the coming years.

Currently, Brazil ranks as the fourth largest market for Copa Airlines’ route, followed by Colombia, Costa Rica, and Paraguay, confirming its growing importance within the destination’s internationalization strategy.

The Brazilian traveler profile, characterized by high purchasing power, an interest in luxury experiences, and a search for distinctive destinations, represents a significant opportunity for Los Cabos. Similarly, this market shows growing potential in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment, seeking offerings that combine world-class infrastructure, strategic connectivity, exclusive experiences, and an unparalleled natural environment.

During this week at WTM Latin America, FITURCA will hold more than 40 one-on-one meetings with tour operators, travel agencies, and media outlets, with the goal of strengthening business relationships, generating new business opportunities, and further promoting the destination’s unique attributes and differentiators.

An event will also be held for more than 30 media outlets and content creators, focused on showcasing Los Cabos’ tourism offerings and fostering strategic alliances to boost its visibility in the Brazilian market. With a tourism offering that integrates nature, gastronomy, wellness, luxury, and unique experiences, Los Cabos continues to position itself as an ideal destination for Brazilian travelers, reaffirming its commitment to expanding its presence in key Latin American markets.
