The 15th Los Cabos Municipal Government reaffirmed its support for the Bisbee’s Black & Blue 2026 Sportfishing Tournament—one of the destination’s most long-standing and impactful tourism events—during a presentation press conference attended by municipal officials and organizers.

The event was led by the Director of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Javier García Davis, and the Director of Tourism, Ana Gabriela Navarro González. The tournament, which boasts a 46-year history, will take place from October 19 to 24. García Davis acknowledged Clicerio Mercado Hernández, General Coordinator of the Bisbee’s Tournaments, and the Bisbee’s Group for spearheading six tournaments in Baja California Sur, as well as approximately 12 youth sportfishing clinics that foster responsible practices and environmental awareness among new generations.

For her part, Navarro González highlighted that the Bisbee’s Black & Blue is part of the identity and tradition of Los Cabos and serves as a high-impact showcase for tourism promotion. She confirmed the participation of anglers from countries such as Costa Rica and Japan.
