FICCLosCabos Opens Box Office for Its 14th Edition
Guided by the vision #BeyondTheScreen, the Festival will feature outdoor screenings, conversations with filmmakers, and industry gatherings from December 9 to 13.
The Los Cabos International Film and Creativity Festival (FICCLosCabos) has opened its box office for its 14th edition, taking place from December 9 to 13, 2026. Advance ticket sales are now open, offering daily passes for the Film and Industry Program, as well as tickets for the opening night screening.
Opening Night Screening
The 14th edition of FICCLosCabos will kick off with an outdoor screening, followed by a discussion with talent, a cocktail reception, and an opening party. This event will launch the Festival’s activities under the #BeyondTheScreen theme.
Film and Industry Program
From Thursday, December 10, to Saturday, December 12, Cinépolis San José del Cabo will serve as the Festival’s hub for directors, producers, actors and actresses, special guests, and the general public. The three-day program will include keynotes, panel discussions, “Marejada” screenings—accompanied by Q&A sessions—and tributes. Highlights include:
• Keynote: “Shaping the Next Wave of Creative Convergence.” Greg Rosenbaum, Senior Vice President of Programming at SXSW, discusses the relationship between SXSW and Mexico, and how film, music, and technology are intersecting to create new opportunities.
• Keynote: “The New Geography of Content: Filming in Mexico – Territory as Production Infrastructure.” Diana Segoviano, General Coordinator of the Mexican Film Commission (COMEFILM), presents the keynote “Territory as a Production Ally,” exploring how specific locations can attract and sustain film projects. • Tribute to Dolores Heredia: The Festival will honor the career of the actress—born in La Paz, Baja California Sur—with a showcase of her work in cinema.
• Keynote: The Transfer of Languages and Formats in Content Creation. Claudio Jiménez, founder of Mighty Studios, discusses animation, AI, and storytelling as key trends redefining how stories are told.
• From our animation showcase: *Blaise*, by Dimitri Planchon and Jean-Paul Guigue (France, 2026). Screening followed by a discussion with the directors.

• Keynote: How to Pitch Your Movie to a Festival. Jim Kolmar, a programmer at SXSW since 2009, will share how a film makes its way into a festival and what selectors look for. His experience working with emerging filmmakers—reviewing cuts and scripts from a programmer’s perspective—makes this keynote an essential guide for those looking to bring their films into the festival circuit.
• Panel: The Next Wave: Emerging Filmmakers. Ten emerging filmmakers from Latin America—with experience at Sundance, Cannes, the Berlinale, and SXSW—discuss the audiovisual language that will define the next generation. The panel will be moderated by Oscar-nominated Mexican filmmaker Carlos López Estrada, whose debut feature, *Blindspotting*, opened the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. He is also a co-director of Disney’s *Raya and the Last Dragon* and the founder of Antigravity Academy, a platform dedicated to supporting emerging filmmakers.
As a cultural platform rooted in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, FICCLosCabos will extend its programming across a circuit of hotels, terraces, art centers, restaurants, and public spaces. These gatherings will bring the #BeyondTheScreen initiative to various locations across the destination where the industry convenes:
