Interest in Purchasing Los Cabos Vacation Packages on the Rise

The interest of both domestic and international tourists in enjoying the attractions of Los Cabos through package tours has returned. During January of this year, 37% of those surveyed by the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA) responded that they purchased their flight, accommodations, and experiences together, representing an 11 percentage point increase compared to the same month in 2025. Last year, September saw the highest number of package purchases at 43%.

As background to this trend, in the first month of 2020, prior to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, package purchases represented 44%, and this past January reached the highest figure since then, with an average stay of 7.6 days.

Furthermore, in internet search trends (between January 14 and February 23) for Los Cabos, from Germany, the United States, Canada, and Mexico, “Los Cabos all inclusive” appears as the third most popular option.

“The success of our destination’s tourism promotion strategies, both nationally and internationally, is based on the strategic information we gather through our Tourism Observatory. Data on traveler habits shows a growing interest in purchasing travel packages, so we are working to offer the right options through our business partners, always guaranteeing the quality that characterizes Los Cabos,” commented Rodrigo Esponda, General Director of FITURCA.

In the first month of the year, the arrival of North American tourists was reported from California, Washington, Texas, Illinois, and Colorado, internationally, and from Mexico City, Baja California, Jalisco, the State of Mexico, and Sinaloa, domestically.

“While continuing to pursue our market diversification strategy based on statistical evidence, within FITURCA we are working on a strategy aimed at promoting beneficial marketing for our destination. This is one of the topics we address in the various business meetings in which we actively and strategically participate,” explained Rodrigo Esponda.

Based on data from the monthly survey, two of the activities that most interest visitors to Los Cabos are fishing and golf. These experiences are complemented by the destination’s wide range of offerings, which combine the opportunity to enjoy nature, desert, and sea with community-based tourism, lifestyle experiences, and other recreational options.
