Los Cabos Unveils AI-Powered Concierge at IMEX America to Boost the Meetings Industry

The destination participated in the event with its largest-ever delegation, consisting of 40 tourism partners—a sector that generated 11.861 billion pesos in direct spending in 2025.

The Los Cabos Tourism Board (FITURCA) unveiled the “Los Cabos Events Industry Concierge” at IMEX America 2026—an artificial intelligence platform designed specifically to streamline the planning of meetings, congresses, and incentive travel. Billed as the first concierge of its kind in Mexico for this sector, the tool aims to accelerate the information-gathering process and connect event organizers with the destination’s offerings and local specialists.

The launch comes at a time of growth and increasing specialization for the industry, which accounts for 7% of the Gross Domestic Product. In Cvent’s 2026 rankings, Los Cabos holds the fourth position among top meeting destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. It currently offers over 19,000 hotel rooms across 95 properties, with an additional 1,200 rooms expected to be added to its inventory by 2029.

Through conversational search, the new concierge allows users to explore hotels, venues, capacities, activities, and experiences based on criteria such as group size, accommodation category, location, specific space requirements, and program objectives. For instance, an organizer might request an oceanfront property with facilities for 100 attendees, space for an executive retreat, or activities for an incentive trip. The recommendations are powered by data provided by participating hotels and tourism partners. “We are living in a time when information and responsiveness are crucial for the tourism industry. We know that event planners need to quickly determine whether a destination can meet their groups’ requirements. The ‘Los Cabos Events Industry Concierge’ offers a more intuitive way to explore our hotels, venues, and experiences. It does not replace the expertise of our local partners; rather, it enables planners to enter those conversations with greater clarity regarding what can be developed in Los Cabos,” noted Rodrigo Esponda, General Director of FITURCA.

At IMEX America—held in Las Vegas from October 13 to 15—Los Cabos brought together 40 hotels, destination management companies (DMCs), and tourism partners, marking the largest delegation the destination has ever sent to this trade show. In total, 1,200 business meetings were conducted. Attendees were able to explore the concierge service at booth D2630 and speak directly with the specialists who design and execute programs within the destination.

Infrastructure and Experiences for Meetings and Incentives

Los Cabos offers over 19,000 guest rooms across more than 95 hotels, with nearly 80% of these located in five-star properties. This infrastructure is complemented by a variety of indoor and outdoor venues, specialized services, and experiences that incorporate gastronomy, nature, wellness, and incentive-based activities.

The destination’s offerings continue to expand with new developments such as the Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol, featuring 163 rooms and over 35,000 square feet of event space; Amanvari, which focuses on ultra-luxury experiences and executive retreats; and Casa Encantada at Four Seasons Costa Palmas, which can accommodate up to 400 guests. Additionally, the Grand Hyatt Los Cabos Resort, Golf & Spa is scheduled to open in December 2026, offering 301 rooms and more than 1,976 square meters of space for meetings and events. In 2025, Los Cabos recorded 8,244 meetings with 283,848 participants, generating 941,500 room-nights and 11.861 billion pesos in direct spending, while also supporting approximately 6,900 direct jobs. Incentive travel accounted for 57.5% of the meetings and 57.3% of the participants, according to the study *Relevance of the Meetings Industry 2025*.

By incorporating digital tools and adopting a strategy focused on commercial conversion, Los Cabos aims to strengthen its competitiveness in the corporate meetings, incentive travel, and high-value events sector, while extending the benefits of this segment to hotels, transport providers, destination management companies (DMCs), and local suppliers.
