Reactivation of tourism in Los Cabos
In attention to the work plan that the State Government together with the main tourist actors, sets in motion to reactivate this industry in Baja California Sur, the Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES), Luis Humberto Araiza López, held a virtual meeting with the director of Market Development at Volaris, Miguel Aguíñiga.
In said video conference in which the holders of the Tourism Promotion Trusts also participated, the representative of the airline announced the next resumption of flights from June 1, as established by the Federal Health Council.
In this regard, Araiza López emphasized the disposition of the current administration so that the reintegration of Volaris occurs in an orderly and gradual manner, respecting the recommendations of the authorities, in order to protect the health of workers and travelers; and in this way guarantee the sanitary security of the destinations.
In this sense, the head of SETUES stressed that air connectivity plays a fundamental role in the reactivation of tourist activity, for which he said, close communication will be maintained with the main airlines and the airports themselves so that it can be carried successfully carried out in both the national and international markets.
At the same time, he recalled that BCS is already working to promote and promote the Clean Point certification, in order to give visitors certainty of the hygiene and safety of tourist services and that they are free of viruses and pathogens, especially Covid-19.
