The fifth edition of the “Flavors of Baja” festival is a sign that, despite the difficult situation that the tourism sector has faced as a result of the Covid pandemic, Baja California Sur is regaining its strength, where gastronomy occupies a preponderant place, pointed out the Governor of the State.

After inaugurating the gastronomic exhibition, which was held in the community of Miraflores, the state executive expressed his willingness to support actions that are aimed not only at preserving our culinary culture, but also at consolidating it as a tourist attraction.

"When you work together, you have important achievements for everyone," he commented, recognizing the solidarity and participation of businessmen from the municipalities of Los Cabos and La Paz in this event that had an important response from inhabitants, as well as from domestic and foreign tourists.

When making a tour of each of the stands of various companies and family businesses, the Governor was accompanied by the president of SEDIF and the Secretary of Tourism, and presented recognition to three women who are symbols of South Californian food: Francisca Monroy González, Belén Manríquez Araiza and Ramona Miranda Amador.

”,“The matter of food is not only touristic; It belongs to an entire culture that we will promote, so every effort made in this regard is to be recognized, he said after expressing the best congratulations so that this festival continues to make our gastronomy known.
