Baja California Sur is prepared to receive the arrival of more than 140,000 visitors on the occasion of Holy Week, reported the Ministry of Tourism and Economy (SETUE), within the framework of the start of the operation that the State Government is leading regarding this holiday period from April 10 to 17.

The three main destinations of the entity, Loreto, La Paz and Los Cabos, register a hotel occupancy rate of 80 percent, figures similar to those before the pandemic, which shows the recovery that the tourism industry is experiencing. Similarly, the northern area of ​​the entity maintains positive numbers in this line.

In Los Cabos alone, 500 weekly flights are estimated, noting that foreign tourist arrivals increased by 21 percent, while domestic tourists increased by 10 percent, who have a longer stay, since new trends indicate that travelers want to know more destinations, favoring tourism in the communities.

Regarding the rest of the tourist services, these present an increase of 72 percent, for which an economic spill of close to 372 million pesos is expected at the end of said vacations, which will translate into greater benefits for families living of this activity.
