Collection of the right to environmental sanitation could be charged from September: Lilzi Orcí
The executive president of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, Lilzi Orcí, said in an interview for Los Cabos a la Carta and Cabovisión Noticias that since the beginning of 2022, a legal team has been worked on by the municipality of Los Cabos to refine the Details of the Trust that will manage the collection of the right to environmental sanitation that will be applied to tourists and that will be charged to all lodging services.
“Two extensions have been derived because we have not managed to square all the necessary details, the truth is that we have always had very good availability from the private initiative and also very good attention from the municipal president who put us in a team legal” said Lilzi Orcí, at the same time that she announced that there is a detail to be fine-tuned, with an extension that extends until September 1 to enter into force: “September 1 would be starting with this collection as long as it is covered This aspect in which we are working, which is the Technical Committee that governs the trust, which will transparently manage the collection that is obtained through this collection of rights”
The charge will be 30% of the value of the UMA, which corresponds to 34 or 35 pesos per night per occupied room, explained the president of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, explaining that it applies to any type of lodging service and applies to tourism. National and international.
