The 42nd edition of Bisbee's Black and Blue kicks off with an $11 million purse
With the participation of more than 200 boats and a purse of more than 11 million dollars, the torch of the 42nd edition of the "Bisbee's Black and Blue" tournament was lit with the presence on behalf of the Governor of the State, Víctor Castro, the Director from FONMAR, Martin Inzunza Tamayo; the federal deputy, Sonia Murillo and the commander of the 4th naval region, Admiral Santiago Jorge Morgado Gómez.
The Coordinator of Bisbee Tournaments in Mexico, Clicerio Mercado Hernández announced that the historical record of this tournament, which is known worldwide for being the richest in the world, has been broken.
The more than 200 boats will set sail at 7 in the morning in front of the arch of Cabo San Lucas to compete for the $11 million purse of this historic tournament.
Through the promotion of large sport fishing tournaments, Baja California Sur continues to position itself as a top-level destination for the practice of this sport, attracting a large number of visitors, to the benefit of the destination's tourism economy.
