Baja California Sur expects spills of more than 95 million dollars in Easter
The coordination between the three levels of government, the private initiative and the Promotion Trusts, have allowed the tourism industry to strengthen in a sustained manner, said Maribel Collins, head of the Ministry of Tourism and Economy (SETUE), for which he highlighted that towards the Greater Week holidays, which runs from April 2 to 8, very good expectations are maintained, and an average occupancy rate of 85% is expected to be recorded in the state, with the arrival of 60,000 tourists and a spill of 95 million 811 thousand dollars.
He pointed out that the entity registered a positive figure in the arrival of passengers by air, since at the end of 2022 it had an increase of 22.4% compared to 2019 and 25.4% compared to 2021, recalling that 2020 was a critical period due to the pandemic .
In this regard, he specified that an economic benefit is estimated to be higher than that of 2022 and, in turn, 18.1% more than in 2019, which had been the best year for tourism in our state, which translates into hotel occupancy, rental of hosting services on digital platforms, car rental, consumption in restaurants, transporters, taxis, contracting of nautical tourism services, land tourism, tourist guides, purchase of handicrafts, among others.
