The head of the Ministry of Tourism of Baja California Sur, Maribel Collins, reported from the Tianguis Turístico held in Mexico City that a great presence of the state has been achieved in collaboration with FITURCA and the tourism trusts of La Paz, Loreto and from North.

“We placed ourselves in some stands on Avenida Reforma, a fair where artisans from all over the state had the opportunity to bring all their artisan products for sale. It was inaugurated by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum; Miguel Torruco was present; the 32 secretaries of tourism and our governor, Víctor Castro Cosío accompanied us," said the tourism secretary at the same time that she reported that great progress was made during this important Tianguis, since a careful request was made to SECTUR to provide support to the federal government As for the customs placed at the airports to avoid the bottleneck effect due to the great reception of international tourism that the state receives -mainly Los Cabos- for which the sending of more personnel to support in this area was confirmed.

“Now we can announce that we are very good in air connectivity since Professor Víctor announced the flight from Los Cabos to Cancun; This flight is very important for the destination of Los Cabos because we may have the opportunity to attract that tourism that arrives in Cancun... as we know, Cancun has a lot of air connectivity with Europe, with Colombia and South America. That makes us very excited because we are going to sell this section so that those who are already in Cancun can visit us in Cabo," said Maribel Collins, in addition to reporting that air connectivity is increasing with the flight from San José del Cabo to Querétaro that will have three weekly frequencies with the airline Viva Aerobús plus the flight from San José del Cabo to Mexicali.

Finally, Maribel Collins mentioned that Los Cabos continues to be the best positioned and most demanded destination in Mexico, acknowledging the effort and work of the Los Cabos Hotel Association and FITURCA to make this possible.
