On the afternoon of this Thursday, May 18, 2023, the inaugural flight of the new Viva Aerobus route that connects Los Cabos with Cancun and Toluca landed at the San José del Cabo International Airport, a service that begins at a key moment before the approaching the summer vacation season.

“Receiving this new flight fills us with pride in Los Cabos as it shows the significant growth that the destination is having among national travelers who are attracted by the exclusive offer of high-profile accommodations and experiences that allows us to expand the connection network with the central and Caribbean zone of the country by the hand of key players such as VIVA Aerobus” commented Rodrigo Esponda, director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust.

This new service offers a daily flight and whether you depart from Los Cabos or Cancun, there is an express stopover in Toluca. On this scale, passengers from Baja California or Quintana Roo, depending on the direction of the flight, do not need to get off the plane unless their final destination is the Mexican capital; and new passengers from Toluca will be able to quickly board the aircraft to travel to any of these two iconic Mexican beaches. Whatever the case, travelers will enjoy flying in the youngest fleet in Mexico, made up of 71 Airbus aircraft with an average age of just 5 years.

“It is a pleasure to contribute to the development of the tourism sector in Baja California Sur with flights at low prices and in new planes that connect Los Cabos with more and more points in the country so that no one misses the opportunity to discover its unforgettable beaches. It is a flagship destination for Mexico and this year we have worked hard to make it available to everyone”, mentioned Walfred Castro, communication director of Viva Aerobus.

This 2023, Viva has announced five new routes in Baja California. From Los Cabos, in addition to these flights to Cancun and Toluca, the routes to Querétaro and Ciudad Juárez are also about to start on June 1 and July, respectively; and from La Paz the route to Mazatlán will begin on the first day of July.
