List of players announced for the ATP 250 Los Cabos 2023
The Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo 2023 has designed, for its seventh edition, its best team of players by summoning six of the top 20 tennis players in the world, who will play from July 31 to August 5 at the Cabo Sports Complex ( CSC).
Previously five players had already been confirmed, the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (No.5), the Russian Karen Khachanov (No.11), the British Cameron Norrie (No.13), champion in 2021 and finalist in 2022; in addition to the Acapulco 2023 champion, the Australian Alex de Minaur (No.16), and the American Tommy Paul (No. 17).
Now add Croatian World No.14 Borna Coric and 2021 doubles champion veteran John Isner. In addition to the Portuguese Nuno Borges (No.69) and the German Dominik Koepker "We have a very complete squad for a tournament that has been growing and consolidating every year," explained the tournament director, José Antonio Fernández.
"Without a doubt these players, who have stood out and climbed positions in recent months at the top of the ATP ranking, give the tournament a great boost and shape what we consider, up to now, the best draw in the tournament. We have had a great acceptance in the northern part of Mexico and also in the southern United States," he added.
This year there are several debutants in the ATP 250, where Tsitsipas stands out, a favorite of the Mexican fans, as well as Khachanov and Paul. Norrie will seek his second title in Los Cabos, after winning the fifth edition, and de Miñaur will seek the Mexican double after lifting the title in Acapulco earlier this year against Tommy Paul. Borna Coric boasts his three titles on the three different surfaces and as for Mexican players, the outstanding youth Rodrigo Pachecho will receive a wildcard to play in the main draw.
