Los Cabos presents Diana Flores as its first brand ambassador in New York
NEW YORK.- On a magical night held in the iconic city of New York, the Los Cabos Wellness campaign made its most recent and significant announcement: the official presentation of Diana Flores as its first brand ambassador. This young athlete, world flag champion and ambassador of the International Olympic Committee and the NFL, becomes the face that will promote the beauty and diversity of this Mexican destination.
Rodrigo Esponda, Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust, promoters of this campaign, commented in an interview: “From the beginning we thought about different stages that the campaign could have to represent Los Cabos through what it represents to feel good, wellness, and with all the natural beauties, the gastronomy and the options that the destination offers." In addition, Esponda highlighted the importance of Flores' figure in this initiative: "She is a reference, a professional athlete and ambassador of the NFL. “He honored us with his visit and we are sure that his image will make a great impact.”
Diana Flores, visibly moved, shared her excitement about the alliance. “The moment Los Cabos looked for me to be part of their family, it was incredible. “Representing my country and this destination that captures the best of our culture and natural beauty fills me with great emotion and pride.” Additionally, she stressed the importance of family and being able to share these moments with them, stating that this "is deeply rooted in our culture."
The event not only revolved around the presentation of Diana Flores. The night was enlivened with exquisite dishes and cocktails by renowned chefs and mixologists, such as Osvaldo Vázquez, who introduced the concept of "Wellness Bar": cocktails based on non-alcoholic products and natural herbal extractions. “It is important in this new trend that people want healthier and more natural things,” said Vázquez, who in 2015 was among the eleven world winners of a cocktail tournament in Paris.
For their part, chefs Manuel Huerta and Gustavo Pinet delighted attendees with innovative dishes. Huerta, from the Don Manuel Waldorf Astoria restaurant, presented a jicama taco with prickly pear tartare, while Pinet, from the Waldorf Astoria, surprised with a ceviche-style cured fish.
Without a doubt, with this presentation, Los Cabos seeks to consolidate itself not only as a tourist destination of unparalleled beauty, but also as a benchmark for well-being and health, connecting with young audiences and enthusiasts of sports and active life, represented by the inspiring figure by Diana Flores.
