Los Cabos was a trend in the Meetings Industry during IMEX América 2023
Los Cabos exceeded the number of business appointments compared to its participation in 2022. The tourist offer of services and infrastructure confirm the destination's leadership in the international Meetings IndustryLos Cabos received notable interest from meeting planners to bring corporate event programs for 2024 and 2025. Los Cabos, B.C.S, October 23, 2023.- Los Cabos successfully participated in IMEX América 2023, the leading event in the global meetings, events and incentive travel industry, held in Las Vegas from the 17th to October 19, where more than 1,200 business meetings were held with the main international representatives of the sector.
With a delegation made up of 30 tourism partners made up of 16 representatives of Hotels, 11 DMC's and 3 service providers, the destination surpassed what was achieved in the last edition where it held 600 business meetings, seeing the work carried out to encourage the meetings industry in Los Cabos, as one of the most important activities that represents 6.8% of the state GDP.
Rodrigo Esponda commented that “IMEX represents an unbeatable opportunity to bring together and keep industry experts updated on the development of the offer, conditions and infrastructure focused on the organization of events that guarantee personalized experiences of international quality that meet the needs of the industry and visitors; as well as giving visibility to the support provided by the most important hotel chains, with the help of experts in group care in the destination.”
The participation of the destination was framed for the fourth time, with a stand dedicated to showing its tourist attractions, under the design of the artist Iván Guadarrama that highlights characteristic aspects of the destination and integrates an avant-garde artistic proposal. Where to begin the activities, the ribbon cutting took place with the presence of Ray Bloom, Chairman of IMEX and Julián Escutia Rodríguez, consul of Mexico in Las Vegas, who highlighted the relevance of Los Cabos within the international meetings industry .
As part of the activities at the Los Cabos stand, 10 presentations were held with 120 potential and recurring clients, with whom news in terms of services and experiences were shared with the purpose of strengthening their portfolio of services for the organization of future events at the destination.
On the other hand, representatives of the destination held a presentation for 200 event planners during Smart Monday in collaboration with Meeting Professionals International (MPI); in addition to collaborating for the second consecutive year with the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), in a networking event where there was brand presence, among other activities.
During the event, it was highlighted that the success and importance of the Meetings industry in Los Cabos is supported by the cultural, gastronomic and tourist wealth, coupled with air connectivity with the main cities of the world, which together offer a robust portfolio of services and experiences of interest to the professional dedicated to organizing events, as well as to the visitor who seeks, in addition to services that satisfy their needs, comfortable, pleasant and unique stays.
