Los Cabos, B.C.S. Mexico, March 21, 2024. – In a strategic effort to continue stimulating connectivity to the destination with primary and secondary markets, the Los Cabos Tourism Trust participated in the Routes Americas event, held from March 19 to 21, in Bogotá , Colombia.

With this participation, the destination demonstrates its commitment to economic growth, as well as attracting visitors who contribute and generate positive benefits to the local community.

During the event, Los Cabos held 15 business meetings with renowned airlines such as American Airlines, Avoris, Delta, COPA and TUI, thus reinforcing its position as a preferred tourist destination. The presence of Rodrigo Esponda, general director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust on a panel of advisors, underlined the importance of the direct involvement of destinations in the development of air routes.

Strategic dialogues were also established with European airlines such as Condor and TUI, with the aim of promoting the new route from Frankfurt and reestablishing connectivity with the United Kingdom, respectively. In addition, conversations have intensified with COPA and Arajet to expand into the South American and Caribbean markets.

In the North American area, special attention has been paid to cities such as Boston, Philadelphia and Fort Lauderdale, as well as in the Canadian market, where efforts are being made to resume Air Transat services to Los Cabos.

Los Cabos concentrates 85% of the connectivity for Baja California Sur and has 59 markets of origin from 5 different countries, which positions it as the third recipient of international visitors in Mexico, thus highlighting the importance of air connectivity for growth. regional economic.
