Recognition from the European Union to the BCS Government for Promoting Sustainable Tourism
The government of Baja California Sur has been praised for its commitment to promoting sustainable tourism, receiving recognition from members of the European Union. In a letter addressed to the state's Ministry of Tourism and Economy, Ambassador Gautier Mignot expressed his appreciation for the cooperation facilitated to address shared challenges in this area.
During their stay from April 19 to 23, the Ambassadors and Deputy Heads of the 15 Member States of the European Union had the opportunity to explore the human, gastronomic and cultural wealth of Baja California Sur, through visits to towns such as La Paz, Todos Saints and The Triumph. In his letter, the Ambassador highlighted the hospitality of the inhabitants of the region, underlining the importance of strengthening ties between Mexico and European countries for mutual benefit.
Recognition from the European Union not only highlights the natural beauty of Baja California Sur, but also the local government's commitment to responsible tourism practices that respect the environment. It is expected that these types of collaborations will continue to be strengthened through future visits, work tables and meetings, in order to promote the well-being of both local inhabitants and visitors.
