The PGA TOUR returns for the second consecutive year to the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal Golf Course to host the annual FedExCup tournament at Diamante; Tickets on sale August 1

 

LOS CABOS, MEXICO (July 30, 2024) - The countdown continues with just 100 days remaining until the opening round of the World Wide Technology Championship kicks off. Commemorating its 18th anniversary, it is the oldest and most important PGA TOUR event in Mexico. For the second consecutive year, the tournament will be held at the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal course at Diamante Cabo San Lucas in Baja California Sur, Mexico from November 7-10

Opened in 2014, El Cardonal is the first golf course designed by 82-time PGA TOUR winner Tiger Woods and TGR Design.

“We are thrilled to present our brand new tournament for another year, which will be framed in the wonderful setting of Los Cabos, and with the warm hospitality of Diamante,” said Joe Mazzeo, Tournament Director. “We are focused on strengthening our bond with the community of Los Cabos and offering a first-class experience so that everyone can enjoy it to the fullest. We are very excited about what is to come in this second edition here at Diamante, where in addition to witnessing world-class golf, spectators will be able to enjoy a variety of special events and activities,” he said. The PGA TOUR, a showcase of the best golfers in the world competing on the most iconic golf courses, and as part of the FedExCup, will bring together a field of 132 players who will compete in 72 holes of stroke play. The four rounds will be televised worldwide through the extensive PGA TOUR television distribution network, including Golf Channel in the United States and Golf Channel Latin America in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Internationally, PGA TOUR coverage is available in more than 200 countries and territories in 26 languages ​​through 44 broadcast and digital media partners.

For this second edition of the tournament in Los Cabos, fans can look forward to an incredible evolution, including VIP Hospitality suite enhancements, a food and art festival, additional Pro-Ams, live music, health and wellness events, children’s activities, sponsor activations and much more.

Tickets for the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship will go on sale beginning August 1 at tickets.wwtchampionship.com. Different ticket options will be available for spectators to experience the World Wide Technology Championship live and in-person, and enjoy world-class golf and the wonderful scenery that Los Cabos has to offer. General Admission tickets provide access to the golf course and tournament facilities, as well as to the different special events and gourmet concessions options. Children under 15 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult (two children are admitted free per adult with a ticket).

Tickets will also be available for the Hospitality areas, from Tacos on 17 by La Lupita, which offers an exclusive party venue with exquisite Mexican cuisine, to private suites and more exclusive hospitality venues such as The Woods, The Skybox and Sunset Suites.
