Independence Day is one of the most important and emotional events in Mexico, marking the beginning of the country's fight for freedom. Every September 15, Mexicans proudly gather to celebrate their national identity, culture and traditions, wearing the national colors: green, white and red.

In Los Cabos, this celebration is lived in a special way with a series of events for all tastes and budgets. For an unforgettable experience, join the local festivities, starting with the traditional “Grito de Dolores” in San José del Cabo, where the mayor will lead the “Grito” from the balcony of the Municipal Palace, followed by fireworks and the national anthem.

In Cabo San Lucas, the ceremony will take place at Plaza León Cota Collins, while in San José del Cabo, Plaza Mijares will be the setting for the military parade that will include the participation of the Mexican armed forces, schools, cultural groups and sports teams. Cultural activities such as concerts, plays, traditional dances and exhibitions will also take place. If you are in downtown San José, don’t miss Santoro, where in addition to enjoying its exquisite gastronomic offering, the terrace will provide a spectacular view to experience the Mexican celebration in all its splendor.

If you prefer a quieter experience or are staying along the Scenic Route, many hotels organize “NochesMexicanas” in their restaurants and bars.

At Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf & Spa, guests will be able to enjoy cultural immersion through a series of events. With luxurious suites that include private terraces and exceptional service, the atmosphere will be perfect for the festivities.
