Colombian Nico Echavarría continues to show his best level at the World Wide Technology Championship, where he has been the leader or co-leader in five of the last six rounds of the PGA TOUR. Echavarría completed the third round with a solid 4-under par 68, maintaining the lead along with Americans Justin Lower and Carson Young, both with a total of 16-under par 200.

Lower closed his round strongly, achieving birdie on the 17th hole and eagle on the 18th, with a 9-under par 63, the best card of the day. For his part, Young scored a 67 with a birdie on the final hole. Just one stroke behind, with a total of -15, are Joe Highsmith, Austin Eckroat and Max Greyserman, while Ben Griffin and Maverick McNealy are tied for seventh place at -14, ensuring intense competition this Sunday.

Echavarría, who enters the final round without having made a bogey this week, is optimistic and focused on taking advantage of every opportunity on the green. “It's a special moment in my career. I'm playing smart and enjoying every birdie opportunity,” said the 30-year-old Colombian, highlighting the support of his team and the hard work that has brought him to this privileged position.

This Sunday, Echavarría will fight for the title alongside Lower and Young, teeing off at 9:51 a.m. from hole 1. If he wins, it would be his second consecutive title and the third in his career, consolidating himself as one of the favorites at this stage of the FedExCup Fall, where players seek to secure their place in the top 125 who will keep their card for the 2025 PGA TOUR season.
