From November 28 to 30, the historic center of San José del Cabo will be filled with color, literature and music with the Fiesta de Alebrijes, Arte y Libros, a cultural event that seeks to promote art and culture in the municipality.

With free admission, the activities will take place in Plaza Mijares and the Art District, offering residents and tourists the opportunity to enjoy a diverse program that combines tradition, creativity and artistic expression.

The festival will begin on Thursday, November 28 at 6 p.m. in Plaza Mijares with an alebrije workshop taught by the family of Don Pedro Linares, creator of these iconic figures. This activity promises to be a living tribute to the Mexican artisan tradition.

On Friday, the day will be highlighted by a poetic street party that will start at 5 p.m. from the Art District, bringing poetry to the streets until reaching Plaza Mijares. At 6 p.m., the official opening of the festival will take place with a ceremony that will include regional dances, literary presentations, opera arias and a special message from the Utrilla publishing house.

The program will also feature plastic and literary exhibitions, live music, interactive readings and a sensory workshop led by Claudia Varela, enriching the cultural offering for all audiences.

The Alebrijes, Art and Book Festival seeks to establish itself as a cultural reference in Los Cabos, celebrating the artistic and literary wealth of Mexico in a historic and lively setting.
