Cactus Tours puts Los Cabos on the world map with a Guinness Record in adventure tourism

Cactus Tours has made history in adventure tourism by obtaining the Guinness Record for the longest bicycle zip line in the world. With a length of 339.39 meters, this attraction travels 854 meters over the majestic landscape of the South Californian desert, offering an unparalleled view of the Pacific Ocean and consolidating Los Cabos as a leading destination for extreme experiences.

The recognition was awarded in a special ceremony at the Cactus Tours headquarters, with the presence of leaders of the tourism sector, authorities and representatives of Guinness World Records. Among those in attendance were Fernando Ojeda, Undersecretary of Tourism and Economy of Baja California Sur; Rodrigo Esponda, General Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust; Victor Montaño, Director of Public Relations of the Municipality of Los Cabos; Alfredo Arista Rueda, official judge of Guinness World Records; Francisco Orrantia, General Manager and Founding Partner of Cactus Tours; and the architect responsible for the project, José Manuel Pizarro.

During the presentation of the official certificate, Alfredo Arista Rueda highlighted the magnitude of the achievement and its impact on the global tourism sector:

"Granting this recognition to Cactus Tours is a testament to the effort, innovation and passion for offering unique experiences. This zipline for bicycles not only represents an unprecedented tourist attraction, but also reinforces the mission of Guinness World Records to inspire extraordinary achievements. On behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and Economy (Setue), Undersecretary Fernando Ojeda underlined the importance of the project for the tourism development of the region:

"Initiatives like this reinforce Baja California Sur's position as a world-class destination for adventure tourism. The combination of innovation, safety and respect for nature allows us to offer unique experiences that attract visitors from around the world and generate a positive impact on the local economy."

For his part, Francisco Orrantia highlighted that this project is the result of a bold vision and more than 11 years of work. "This record represents Cactus Tours' commitment to excellence and innovation. We have not only challenged the limits of height, but we have raised the standard of adventure tourism in the region. Our mission is to offer unforgettable experiences that connect visitors with nature and adrenaline." In addition, he highlighted that Cactus Tours offers other experiences, such as all-terrain vehicle tours and camel rides, all designed to provide excitement and safety.

José Manuel Pizarro, architect responsible for the construction of the bicycle zipline, explained the technical challenges involved in the project and how the highest safety standards were guaranteed for adventurers from around the world.

With this achievement, Los Cabos is positioned as a global benchmark in adventure tourism, attracting travelers looking for exciting and challenging experiences. Rodrigo Esponda, General Manager of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust, concluded:
