The East Cape is once again highlighting its tourism dynamics with the announcement of a new luxury development.

Monterrey-based One Development Group will begin construction of a hotel under the Raffles brand, the Accor Group's highest category, joining an area already home to brands like Four Seasons and soon to receive an Amman hotel.

The announcement comes despite recent political tensions and outbreaks of violence, underscoring Los Cabos' strength as a high-end tourism investment destination.

During the Mexico Tourism Fair, held in Baja California, Rodrigo Esponda, director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca), reported on more than 50 business meetings and presented the "Travelers Creating" guide, which promotes artistic and cultural experiences.

In line with the destination's luxury positioning, the Porsche brand will open a branch in Los Cabos, and to celebrate, it organized an art tour with designers traveling around the destination in their exclusive automobiles.
