FITURCA Receives Hermes 2025 Award for Transforming the Digital Tourism Experience with its Digital Ecosystem
The Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA) is proud to announce that its digital ecosystem, Visita Los Cabos, has been honored with the Platinum Award in the Website Design category at the Hermes Creative Awards 2025, one of the most important international recognitions in digital communication and media.
"This award reflects Los Cabos' commitment to innovation and excellence in tourism promotion. Our digital platform is an open invitation for travelers from around the world to discover and plan their experience in a destination distinguished by its beauty, accessibility, and comprehensive offerings," said Rodrigo Esponda, General Manager of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust.
Earlier this year, Los Cabos unveiled the evolution of its digital ecosystem with an innovative leap into the metaverse. In collaboration with NOSTRA, a virtual museum was launched, comprised of four themed domes and a main hall, where visitors can explore the destination's cultural, natural, and culinary riches in an interactive and educational way.
The "Los Cabosverse" feature takes digital exploration to the next level, offering immersive virtual tours of luxury resorts, pristine beaches, and hidden gems. Accessible through both Oculus headsets and web browsers, this experience allows users to "visit" Los Cabos before booking, transforming inspiration into action.
The revamped Visita Los Cabos website represents a significant advancement in the way travelers plan their vacations, offering an immersive experience that combines the aesthetics of a digital magazine with intuitive and user-friendly navigation. More than a tourist information portal, the site has become a dynamic gateway that invites visitors to discover the magic of the destination, facilitating trip planning as an inspiring and entertaining experience.
Los Cabos has become the first destination in Mexico to prioritize digital accessibility through a strategic partnership with AudioEye, ensuring that people with disabilities can fully explore and enjoy the website's content. This initiative breaks down barriers and reaffirms Los Cabos' commitment to inclusion and universal hospitality.
The website integrates interactive tools such as real-time flight maps, 360-degree virtual tours, and traveler-generated content through the CrowdRiff platform, showcasing the authenticity and beauty of the destination from the perspective of its visitors. With millions of unique users already interacting with the platform, this digital experience is designed to elevate engagement and excitement about planning a trip to Los Cabos.
