FITURCA announces that Los Cabos has been recognized by Cvent as one of the three best meeting destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Los Cabos has been recognized among the top three “Meeting Destination in Latin America & Caribbean” by Cvent, one of the leading global leaders in the meetings industry. This achievement is highly significant for the destination, as it validates its international competitive positioning based on concrete demand data from corporate event organizers using Cvent's platform, one of the most influential and widely used in the world. “This recognition not only provides international visibility and reputation among thousands of event planners, but also strengthens the trust of strategic partners, facilitates the attraction of new events, and supports the promotional efforts we undertake at the Los Cabos Tourism Trust, showing tangible evidence of the impact and sustained growth of this industry in the destination,” said Rodrigo Esponda, General Director of FITURCA.

According to Cvent data, the number of requests for proposals (RFPs) for events in Los Cabos grew approximately 69.09% between 2021 and 2024, reflecting a notable dynamism in the destination's demand for corporate meetings.

Furthermore, the Meetings Industry in Baja California Sur generates a significant economic impact, with more than 13,134 related jobs (7,396 direct) and a contribution of $38 million in employment income. The economic output of the meetings sector represents $530 million, equivalent to 4.6% of the local GDP. In 2022, Los Cabos hosted 81.4% of the 7,909 meetings held in the state, consolidating its position as the main driver of this industry.

In this edition, Cvent evaluated more than 14,000 destinations registered in the Cvent Supplier Network. Activity was tracked between January and December 2024. Rankings were determined using a set of scoring criteria, including: the total number of room nights booked through the Cvent Supplier Network; the number of unique electronic requests for proposals (RFPs) submitted through the marketplace to venues within the city; the total value of RFPs submitted; and the actual value awarded for meetings booked. Los Cabos stood out for its first-class infrastructure, with more than 20,000 rooms, modern event spaces, and a unique offering that combines luxury, exclusive experiences such as whale watching and desert adventures, as well as a growing commitment to sustainability, well-being, and social responsibility—factors that positively influence organizers' decisions.

FITURCA will continue to promote and professionalize the sector, relying on effective channels such as direct interaction with planners, participation in international trade shows like IMEX, and partnerships with leading event management companies. This recognition from Cvent reinforces Los Cabos' strategy to consolidate itself as a leading destination in the region for meetings, incentives, conventions, and corporate events.
