The arrival of this significant number of tourists, mostly young American students, will represent considerable gains for workers in the tourism sector. A significant economic spill is expected, since it is expected that on average each tourist will spend $ 110 a day and spend 4 days at the destination; Hotel occupancy of 80% is also expected, and an increase in restaurant sales from 20% to 30%.

Likewise, the general director emphasized that not only those who provide services in the tourism sector will benefit, but that local producers will also make a profit: “we are at a time when tourists are changing, we know they like organic products, and we are a tourist destination that produces these items, for this reason, every farmer in the entity benefits. ”
