Los Cabos BCS, 09 Mar (Government of Los Cabos) .– For more than 100 years, through social mobilization, women have made themselves heard to demand equal conditions, for this reason the XIII Los Cabos City Council, chaired by Armida Castro Guzmán, through the Women's Institute, they carried out the “Race only for Women 2020”, with the participation of 350 competitors, commemorating March 8, International Women's Day.

At the end of the race, the general director of the Women's Institute, Lorena Cortés Torralbo, expressed that: “March 8, International Women's Day, under the motto“ I am a generation of equality for the rights of Women ”, we participated more than 350 women in the 3k walk and in the 5 and 9k races, thanking the sponsorship of various brands, who awarded the gifts. I also thank the staff of the Women's Institute, as well as the family Recreational Cycleway and the Mexican Association of Women Heads of Business (AMMJE) who made this possible with their contributions. ”

The public servant ended by saying that the race was for women's rights, but above all it was gratification and raising awareness that it was run by “ourselves; for knowing the rights, for exercising them and also to give respect, dignity, justice, support and love to all people; It was a women's race but it is for everyone. ”

Also present at this important event were the president of the DIF System in Cabo San Lucas, Flora Aguilar Murillo; the municipal delegate Óscar Leggs Castro and the commission of the Ciclovía Recreativa Mario Meave.
